The thing about an english summer is that you just never know when it’s going to start or finish. In oz, it was a sure thing that on the first of December, the skies would be clear and blue and the sun would be hot and roasting. The waters would be perfectly cool to swim in and the factor 30 was a must have…
Over here, one day will be pouring with rain and the next will be so damn hot you don’t know what to do with yourself. It’s too nice to stay in doors but there is no where to cool off when the sun reaches it’s highest point.
This weekend just been however was great, GREAT summer days. Russ and i planted ourselves on Clapham Common on Saturday with the papers and just chilled out while the sun shone down. It was an idyllic day. We then went to the movies and saw Pirates of the Carribean (which is really not that good). On Sunday Jayno and i walked into town and planted ourselves firmly in St James park for some more sun worshipping. I “caught” the sun, to say the least but it’s all in preparation for Spain!!
The weekend before last was the Bank Holiday weekend and I went to Hamburg to see Merle. It was the first time in 18 months! It was so good to catch up. Unfortunatly we were both ill but we managed to eat and drink our way through that and just chilled out. We went to her home town ( a term i use very loosly as it is one street long and 1000 people in it, most of them being related to Merle!). Her mum made us goulash and dumplings and all sorts of other yumminess.
We shopped til we dropped and ate til we couldn’t eat any more. It was a great long weekend. I came home on the Sunday night and then on Monday the weather was horrible so Jayno and I bunked in for the day after a hardcore gym sesh and watched something like 9 episodes of Grey’s Anatomy!! Hahahaha We are totally addicted!
Not much else to report except, Jayne and I went to Beyonce on Sunday night! It was awesome. She is so hot and totally amazing. New role model!!!
Anyway, hope you are all well..
