Working For The Weekend

Wednesday, May 9th, 2007

Well, working for and during the weekend at the moment!

We have just had another Bank Holiday weekend ( it is the month for them) and I was up at Caister for my third time, selling t-shirts on Russ’s parents stall. It’s always an interesting/fun time but always knackering. Long days and loud music, smoke infested rooms and caravans make for an exhausting weekend. However, it’s the saving month and while i didn’t spend anything, i made some cash which is always good. We are off to Southport this weekend to do the same thing but in Southport and only 2 days not three.

Apart from that, what’s been happening? Well, not a whole lot. The rest of April was pretty low key except for a massive night out with Amy and Keira. It was a long time coming but we put on our 18 yr old drinking shoes on and certainly did ourselves proud – or at least we thought so at the time. Getting in at 3am just doesn’t have the same shine to it as it used to. Needless to say, Sunday was a right off and I couldn’t even get outside to get some fresh air… A very poorly Ash indeed.

I’m off to see Merla in a couple of weeks which is great! I can not wait! It’s been over a year since I saw here so will be good to catch up over some bratwurst! And Jayno and I are planning our Spanish holiday which is about 6 weeks away now ( and the thought of getting into a bikini scares me somewhat – a few sun bed session are required.. and sewing my mouth together perhaps).

The netball season is well and truly going – we are 5th in the comp and playing better every week. So good to get back into it!

I have also signed up for the Three Peak Challenge which is pretty hardcore and near impossible but basically consists of walking up Ben Nevis(Scotland), Scarfell Pike(Lakes District) and Snowdon(Wales) all in 24 hours! A group from work are going to raise money… hopefully I will be around to tell the tale!!

In news from home, Dabe has passed his first assessment in his Masters course with FLYING COLOURS getting 100%!!!! Very proud little sister and bidding for a seat at the Oscas (Yes Mum, he should take me!)

Anyways, that’s about it at the moment.

Hope everyone is well on the flipside
