Back In The UK!

Thursday, September 14th, 2006

Yes, that’s right. It’s been just over a week since I got back to London and I have to say, apart from a few grey clouds, I must have brought the sunny weather with me because it’s been lovely!

I was lucky enough to have been picked up at the airport which was very nice and after a very long and delayed 30 hours I finally got into Heathrow and was relieved I didn’t have to struggle on the tubes with my two suitcases!

Then it was back to work on Tuesday where i was greeted by an official email going round to all staff that I was moving onto Events! Hoorah!! It’s part time at the moment, but hey, better than nothing at this stage. We have an event tomorrow which will be yet another to add to the CV and quite a few in the next couple of weeks, most of which aren’t in London so it means WORK ROADTRIP!!!!!!

Kat and I had our joint party on saturday at Hyde Park where the BBC Proms were being held. It was an absolutly awesome night and Lionel Richie was just fantastic. There was about 30 of us in the end and fun was had by all. There are some rather interesting photos which I will put up asap!

Sunday I went to Spitalfields market with Russ whose dad has a store there, so we went up and had a bite to eat and then walked up to Brick Lane to catch the last of the festival.

It was an utterly exhausting weekend and was non stop the whole time, so it was almost enevitable that i got struck down with something. I went to work on Monday morning and felt ill as can be, had to take myself home after a very horrible trip to the loo and then it was sleep and sleep and sleep for me. I think i slept for about 15 hours on monday night which was clearly what the doctor order – although its impossible to get into a doctors for him to say anything so who would bloody well know what the doctor ordered!!- I then had tuesday off aswell and came back today with a rather hectic day!

This weekend I think will be much more low key – parentals will be happy to note that there is a ban on alcohol consumption this week and am actually, dare i say it, looking forward to it!!

So thats pretty much me up to date.

How’s all on the flip side?

I hear torrential rain and apocolyptic weather has hit… An Inconvieniant Truth perhaps?!?!

OK Take Care all

xx

..The two weeks is up!

It’s Sunday 3rd Sept, i’m now 24 (!!) and am about to venture back to the UK where I hope i will be bringing some of the amazing weather we have had here the last couple of days.

The last two weeks have been great. It always amazes me how time doesn’t seem to be going that fast and then all of a sudden its been and gone. That’s what this fortnight has felt like.

I have lunched, dinnered and even brunched my way through the holiday and believe me when i say that the diet really does start tomorrow! Carla and i had a very posh, romantic lunch at the 360 dining restaurant at the top of Centrepoint. I think it may have been her way of trying to lure me into staying.. and i tell you what – the view was out of this world… there really is just more sky here.

Thanks to all for coming down last night. I was a little bit worried i would be sat there by myself for the night but I was pleased at everyones efforts and it really means a lot to me that you took another sat night off to see me.

It’s a weird feeling. Having two homes, on either sides of the world…And just like most holidays, i’m eager to get back to my uk life and have my creature comforts, my friends and routine back to normal, but it doesn’t get any easier saying goodbye to everyone here.

So a BIG shout out to my Girls… i loved seeing you all so much and i’m reminded again that email just doesnt cut it for the other 50 weeks of the year so start saving and get your sexy arses over to London.

To the brother, Amelia and the Hamo’s – Can’t say enough how lovely last monday was. Thanks for all coming down and making the effort to come in, its comforting to know that some things just dont change.

I would also like to thank my sponsers: Mum, Dad and Grandma – your generosity over the last two weeks has been emense and hopefully (fingers crossed) i will be able to repay the favours. Love you all so much and hate saying goodbyes… so I’m not going to!

So enough of the emotional stuff.

It’s been excellent.
